Waterloo financial firm sets up shop in Hiawatha

Larry K. Fox & Associates, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, has entered the Corridor with a new office in Hiawatha.

The firm, which specializes in wealth preservation and estate planning, was founded in 1971 in Waterloo before opening a satellite office in Davenport. The new office in Hiawatha is located at 1055 Longfellow Drive, Suite A.

The firm’s three partners, Larry Fox, Aaron Sannes and Joshua Katcher, will all work out of the office by appointment, with Mr. Katcher living in nearby Urbana. Plans are in the works to hire a permanent advisor for the office, noted Marketing Manager Carly Pagel.

The new office comes as the firm looks to cultivate more business in the state’s second-most populous region. Bruce Anderson, who retired in 2015 as chairman and CEO of NXTBank after a 40-year banking career, has been serving as the firm’s business development director and working on driving business in the Cedar Rapids area over the past year, Ms. Pagel said.

“We like to think our practice is the best in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area, as far as providing a comprehensive approach to financial planning,” Ms. Pagel said. “Bruce just thought this would be a great opportunity for us.”
